Installers and integrators
Plan the layout, size the driver and give your crew drawings and a materials list they can install from. A design you can explain to the client.

Hearing Loop Designer is browser-based software for installers, AV integrators and consultants who design induction hearing loops. Lay out the loop, model field strength and frequency response, plan for metal loss, choose the driver and wire, and hand over drawings the installer can work from.
Plans to IEC 60118-4 field-strength and frequency-response targets. Installed performance is confirmed by commissioning.

A simplified preview, not a design: one loop, no metal loss, field at the listening height. The listening area leaves out the 0.6 m (2 ft) strip just inside the wire, as the app does. A real design also covers metal loss, frequency response and the driver, and installed performance is confirmed by commissioning.

The same three steps for a meeting room or a large hall.
Enter the room, the listening height and what the floor or ceiling is made of. Choose a loop layout and a conductor.
The software checks your design against IEC 60118-4 field-strength and frequency-response requirements. See field strength across the listening area, frequency response, metal loss and driver headroom, and adjust the layout until the plan reaches the targets.
Export the design report, installation drawings, materials list and DXF. On site, the installed loop is measured and commissioned.
Hearing Loop Designer models the loop you plan. It does not test or approve installed systems. Real buildings differ from models, so installed performance is confirmed by commissioning with a field-strength meter. How we use IEC 60118-4
Every design produces the paperwork the job needs, in feet or meters.
The loop, the driver, the wiring, metal loss and the modeled field, in one PDF.
Dimensioned layouts with a title block, and separate sheets for each phase of an array.
Driver, loop wire or copper tape, adhesive tape and feeder cable, with lengths.
The loop geometry as a DXF file, ready to place on the building drawings.
Practical guides to hearing loop design, written for installers, with sources and review dates.
A hearing loop turns a venue's audio into a magnetic field that telecoils in hearing aids and cochlear implant processors pick up directly. Here is how it works, what each part does and where loops serve listeners best.
Each assistive listening system serves listeners differently. A practical comparison for installers, including when a loop and Auracast work well together.
